Recently, Study Hall revealed a tidbit in coworking firm The Wing’s membership agreement that might indicate that members are not allowed to criticize the company.

“You shall, during and after the Membership Term, refrain from making any statements or comments of a defamatory or disparaging nature to any third party regarding the Company or any of the Company’s officers, directors, employees, personnel, agents, policies, services or products or other members, other than to comply with law.”

A representative for The Wing said that the clause came from the intention of creating a safe space for members, some of which are high-profile, in order to protect their privacy.

The company also claims it has never been enforced, but are reviewing it to make it more clear.
